Located southeast of Phoenix and south of Scottsdale, Tempe is a large city of over 160,000 people. This desert city is home of Arizona State University’s main campus and is also home to U.S. Airways. Tempe is also the most densely populated city in Arizona, and was named by Darrell Duppa after the Vale of Tempe in ancient Greece.
