During the summertime, Scottsdale's resorts target the summertime vacation crowd, which is different from the convention crowd, where the resorts normally make their money. This provides an opportunity for families to have a first-class vacation at a deep discount.

There are also over 200 golf courses in Maricopa County, so if your vacation plans include a little golf, there is nowhere better to visit.
