In Mid-April, prehistoric sturgeon swim from Lake Winnebago to the Embarrass and Wolf Rivers to spawn.

The Outagamie Parks attracts a lot of residents who like to work hard but relax and enjoy natural settings in their time off. Plamann Park offers everything from disc-golf, a children’s farm, a cow-shaped path, a swimming lake, playgrounds, picnicking, hiking, skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling. Wiouwash Trail is popular for horseback riding and bird watchers will enjoy County Forest or View Ridge Natural Area.
